Every Bangalore flat comes with a wardrobe opening in the wall and almost nothing else. No system. No storage logic. No finish worth keeping. At Design1Studio, we design custom wardrobes in Bangalore from scratch — sliding, hinged, walk-in, modular, or lacquered glass — built to your exact wall dimensions, with an internal layout designed around what you actually own. BWP or HDHMR core. Hettich or Hafele hardware. A 3D design you approve before manufacturing starts. And a finish that still looks good in ten years.

We offer complete, end-to-end wardrobe design — from the first measurement to the final installation. Here's what we cover:

Sliding Wardrobes — The default choice for Bangalore's 2BHK and 3BHK apartments. Sliding doors don't need swing clearance, making them ideal for bedrooms under 140 sq ft. We use aluminium-profile frames with roller track systems — smooth, silent, and rated for 15+ years of daily use. Finish options: laminate, acrylic, membrane, mirror, or lacquered glass panels. Cost range: ₹900–₹2,200/sq ft depending on finish.

Hinged Wardrobes — For bedrooms that can spare the door swing. Hinged wardrobes give you full, unobstructed access to every shelf and rail simultaneously — a meaningful advantage when you're searching in a hurry. They also pack 15–20% more usable storage per square foot than equivalent sliding designs, because there's no overlapping panel mechanism eating into internal width. Cost range: ₹800–₹1,800/sq ft.

Walk-in Wardrobes — A wardrobe room, not a wardrobe. For master bedrooms above 200 sq ft, villas, or any space where a dedicated dressing area makes daily life meaningfully better. We design the layout around your actual clothes volume: long hang, short hang, shelves, shoe wall, drawer tower, dressing table, and island unit where space allows. Cost range: ₹1,800–₹4,000+/sq ft.

Modular Wardrobes in Bangalore — Factory-manufactured modules assembled on site. Faster than site carpentry, more dimensionally accurate, and reconfigurable if you move. A modular wardrobe in Bangalore takes 3–5 days to install vs. 2–3 weeks for site-built carpentry. Internal accessories can be added or swapped post-installation without dismantling the frame.

Custom Wardrobes in Bangalore — Built entirely to specification. Floor-to-ceiling. Corner units. Irregular wall shapes. Wardrobes that wrap around a window or accommodate a structural column. If your space doesn't fit a standard design, custom is the answer — and it doesn't cost significantly more than modular when done at Design1Studio scale.

Lacquered glass is one of the most visually striking wardrobe finishes available — and one of the most under-known in Bangalore's interior design market. It is made by fusing coloured paint or pigment onto the back of a glass panel, which is then tempered. The result: a shutter that is deeply rich in colour, reflective without being mirror-like, and completely maintenance-free. No laminates to peel, no acrylic to scratch, no paint to chip.
Design1Studio installs lacquered glass wardrobes in Bangalore in any colour from the RAL or NCS palette — from warm charcoals and forest greens to blush pinks and slate blues. The glass panels are framed in aluminium profiles (brushed or matte black finish) and fitted with soft-close mechanisms.
Lacquered glass is ideal for master bedroom wardrobes where visual impact matters, premium dressing areas, and living room display units. It pairs especially well with a neutral bedroom palette — the glass becomes the room's statement without competing with other elements.
Cost: ₹1,500–₹2,200/sq ft for lacquered glass shutter panels (installed).
Readymade wardrobes from furniture stores come in standard widths (typically 2ft, 3ft, 4ft). Your wall almost never is. The gap at the top, the gap at the side, the wasted corner — it looks unfinished and wastes storage you paid for in your flat's price.
A custom wardrobe in Bangalore fills wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling. The internal layout is designed around your actual clothes — not a generic 50/50 hanging-to-shelf ratio. Any finish is possible. Any dimension is possible. And the total price is often comparable to a premium readymade product once you account for the wasted space you're not paying for.
